1849 Advertising as a gunmaker of Golden Ball Street, Norwich and mentions the support his business has received over the past seven years.[2]

1860 Patent. '1900. To George Jeffries, of the city of Norwich, Gunmaker, for the invention of "improvements in machinery or apparatus for filling cartridges."'[3]

1861 Living at Golden Ball Street, Norwich: George Jeffries (age 41 born Forncett, Norfolk), Gun Maker. Agnes Jeffries (age 42 born Longford, Ireland) and their seven children; Emma M. Jeffries (age 17 born Norwich); George L. Jeffries (age 14 born Norwich); Arthur G. With his daughter Georgiana Emms (age 35 born Norwich) and her husband John Henry Emms (age 28 born Norwich), Corn merchant, and their daughter Philes Emms (age 1 born Norwich). One servant.[9]

1896 May 31st. Died. Of 8 Orford Hill, Norwich, gunmaker. Probate to John Henry Emms, storekeeper, and his wife Georgina Mary.
