1925 In consequence of ill-health Mr Ernest M. Brown retired from the business and sold the undertaking of the firm, of East Parade, Huddersfield, which he had carried on for many years past as sole proprietor, to Mr Sidney Armitage, who had been actively associated with the firm for the past fifty years, and for many years had been works manager.
