Emil Abel (1875-1958), a chemist at the Ever Ready Co (Great Britain)

Emil Abel (June 2 1875 in Vienna - April 3rd 1958 in London) was an Austrian chemist .

Abel was Professor and Head of the Institute for Physical Chemistry at the Technische Hochschule in Vienna.

After the "Anschluss" of Austria, he was one on 22 April 1938 issued decree and dismissed with immediate effect.

As a member of the German Physical Society, he was on 9 December 1938 by then chairman Peter Debye asked to resign from the company.

Abel emigrated to London.
