Elsie Eleanor Verity (1894- ), F.I.M.
1894 August 14th. Born in Barton-upon-Irwell, Manchester, the daughter of William Verity, a Motor Garage Proprietor and Employer, and his wife Lilly.
Educated at the Central High School for Girls, Manchester.
Manchester College of Technology, and Manchester High School of Commerce.
1911 Living at 30 Lloyd Street, Greenhays, Manchester: William Verity (age 49 born Manchester), a Motor Garage Proprietor and Employer. With his wife Lily Verity (age 49 born Manchester) and their two daughters Elsie Verity (age 16 born Manchester), Book-Keeper and Typist, and Hilda Verity (age 14 born Lancashire). One servant.[1]
WWI trained Drivers for Forces.
1922-25, Assistant Manager, Verity's.
1925-43, Manager and Partner, eventually becoming Sole Proprietor.
Member, Women's Engineering Society
1939 Listed at 92 Brantingham Road, Manchester, Motor Engineer and Garage Manager.[2]

1945 Joined W.E.S. Council
