EDWARD HYDE ROBERT WYBRANTS WADE, born in Ireland on the 14th February, 1867, died at Worthing on the 25th March, 1913.

Trained at the Royal Indian Engineering College, Coopers Hill, and on the North Eastern Railway, he was appointed to the Survey Department of the Government of Ceylon in 1890.

Later he was transferred to the Railway Department and became first Assistant Traffic Superintendent and afterwards Accountant and Assistant General Manager of the Government Railways, retiring in 1910.

Mr. Wade was elected an Associate Member of The Institution on the 2nd May, 1893.
