1837 September 19th. Married at Pedmore. Mr Edward Hill, Hunts Hill, Dudley, to Emma, second daughter of Samuel Smith of the former place.[1]. Emma was an older sister of Henry Smith[2]

1851 Living at Dark Hill, Dudley: Edward Hill (age 47 born Wednesbury), Iron Master. With his wife Emma Hill (age 30? born Pedmore) and their son Edward Hill (age 4 born Harts Hill). Two servants.[3]

1853 September 13th. Died. 'On Tuesday last, at his residence, Amblecote Hall, near Stourbridge, fever on the brain, in his 48th year, Mr. Edward Hill, Brierley Hill. Works, near Dudley.'[4]
