Mr Edgar Fuchs, MA (Member), has joined the staff of the British Welding Research Association where he will look after liaison with member organisations. Mr Fuchs is a well-known authority on welding technology. He has served on many committees of the BSI and the BWRA, and has been. President of the Institute of Welding.

The author of many papers and articles, Mr Fuchs is the editor and part-author of the ICI Welding Handbook which was the basis for a three-volume work on Welding Practice which was published in 1951.
