1954 Bio Note [1]

Mr. E. W. Coy, B.Sc., B.A. (Member), received his technical education at Cambridge University. After graduating with honours he went to Robey & Co. of Lincoln for his training in practical engineering in their oil engine department.

In 1925 he joined Humber, Ltd., and has been engaged on development and design work throughout his service with them. He is at present responsible for the design of all engines produced by the Rootes Group of Companies.

He joined the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in 1924, and the Institution of Automobile Engineers in 1925, and has been a member of the Coventry Centre Committee of the Automobile Division for seven years.
