Don Jose A. de Ybarra ( -1934) of Bilbao, Spain

1934 Obituary [1]

Senor DON JOSE A. DE YBARRA died on January 24, 1934, in Madrid.

Mr. Ybarra was elected to membership of the Iron and Steel Institute as long ago as 1870; he was not only the oldest of the Spanish members but, with one exception, was the senior member of the whole Institute. He was a faithful friend and supporter of the Institute throughout all the sixty-four years of his membership, and rendered great services to it, especially on those occasions when the Institute had been privileged to hold its Autumn Meetings in Spain.
