1867 The original Directors were Richard Mills, Samuel Rubery, and James Slater.

1867-8 Supplied wrought ironwork for the reconstruction of Liverpool Lime Street Railway Station, probably as subcontractors to G. Thompson and Co of Liverpool. The supporting cast iron columns were made by George Forrester and Co of Vauxhall Foundry, Liverpool.

1872 'SANDHILLS BRIDGE. The Health Committee recommended the acceptanoe of various tenders, amongst them being that of Mr. Hugh Yates, for the execution of the masonry required in the construction of a wrought-iron arched bridge to carry Sandhills-lane over the canal, for £1515; and of the Darlaston Iron Bridge Co., for the execution of the ironwork required in the construction of the bridge, for £1686 10s.'[1].

In September 1873 the company became The Bridge and Roofing Company Limited. They constructed Sculcoates Swing Bridge in Hull in 1874 .

1876 Obtained the contract for the ironwork for the second shed at Liverpool Lime Street Station.

1878 Ironwork for Birkenhead Station roof.
