Clyde Locomotive Co of Clyde Locomotive Works, Springburn, Glasgow

1884 Founded by Walter Montgomerie Neilson the one-time owner of Neilson and Co at Hyde Park Locomotive Works.

1886 Built eight locomotives for the Highland Railway.

1887 Built two locomotives for Girvan and Portpatrick Junction Railway.

1888 There had been fourteen engine built at Glasgow. Sharp, Stewart and Co bought the works and moved the company to Glasgow, naming the building Atlas Works.
