1894 Partnership change. '... the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned, Herbert Fitzroy Clayton and George Holden Holdroyd, carrying on business as Drysalters, at Longroyd Bridge, Huddersfield, in the county of York, under the style or firm of Clayton, Holroyd, and Co., has been dissolved, by mutual consent, as and from the 31st day of December, 1893. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid by the said Herbert Fitzroy Clayton, who will continue to carry on the said business under the old style on his own behalf...'[1]
