1927 Cities Service Oil Company Ltd was incorporated, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Belgian company Petrofina S.A.

WWII Member of the Petroleum Board; participated in pooled petrol distribution.

Petrofina acquired several other existing small distributing interests.

1953 Name changed to Fina Petroleum Products Ltd.

1953 Fina Petroleum Products Ltd entered the UK petrol market with Citex petrol.

1957 Changed name to Petrofina (Gt. Britain) Ltd
