Charles Victor James (1888-1934)
Born the son of Albert Alfred James
1911 Living at 32 Thynne Street, West Bromwich: Albert Alfred James (age 53 born Dudley), Wire Works, Wire Weaver, Steel Spring Maker (Widower). With his sons Charles Victor James (age 22 born West Bromwich) and William Edward James (age 18 born West Bromwich).[1]

The death has taken place at his hoe in Lodge-road West Bromwich of Mr Charles V. James who closely associated with the sporting life of the town. At one time he an interest in the turf and was owner of two racehorses.Mr James who was 47 has been in failing health for several months. He was the second son the late Mr A. A. James, a former chairman of the old West Bromwich Board of Guardians.
Mr Charles James was managing director of A. A. James Ltd, spring wire workers, Lombard-street, George Wearing Ltd, iron founders, Carters Green, Bagnalls (West Bromwich) Ltd, spring makers, Lombard-street, and Drop Forgings Co Ltd, Dial-lane. He was a Freemason and was connected with the Walton Walker Lodge He is survived by widow and three daughters

Charles Victor James was born in 1888, and was prominently associated with the manufacture of metal parts for the automobile industry, being Managing Director of the following firms:- A. A. James, Ltd.; George Wearing, Ltd.; Bagnalls (W. B.), Ltd., and Holden's Drop Forgings Co., Ltd., all of West Bromwich.
His death occurred on 10th May, 1934, at the age of 45.
He was elected an Affiliate of the Institution in 1921.
