The Gladiator is a 7nhp 17 ton showmans road locomotive. It was supplied as new in 1909 to Anderton and Rowlands local amusement caterers to power their gondola ride. It was sold to T. Whitelegge and Sons in 1932 and then to The Gladiator Club of Redruth in 1953 when she needed a major overhaul. The present owner with the help of some good friends completely restored her. The owner is David Goodwin of St.Columb Major, Cornwall.
