1945 Formed by Maurice Carter and Sir Arthur Croft to produce the Carter hydraulic variable speed gear.

1954 December 31st. Acquired by Crofts (Engineers).[1]

1955 Maurice Carter was MD until 1955 and then Technical Director until 1963.

By 1969 they were part of the Renold Group.
