Brown, Sons and Pickles, Barnoldswick, Millwrights, machinists and founders

1938 Formed by merging the assets of Henry Brown and Sons and J. A. Pickles.

Henry Brown and Sons made small steam engines from c.1913 to c. 1928.

A donkey engine was supplied to Nutter and Co., Barnoldswick, in 1914. [1]

Lathes for machining shells were made by Henry Brown and Sons in WW1 and by Brown, Sons and Pickles in WW2.
