1918-35 Invalid consequent on Active Service. Road & River Motors, Ltd.

1935/7. Now retired.

Bethel Godefroy Bouwens was born in 1884 and educated at Eton and. Cambridge.

After leaving Cambridge in 1906 he worked for a time on experimental aircraft and in 1912 became Director of Salisbury Plain Motors, Ltd.

He entered the Army in 1914 and served at home and abroad until 1918, when he was discharged for medical reasons.

From 1918 to 1935 he was unable to work owing to the state of his health, but in 1935 he undertook duties as Managing Director of Road and River Motors, Ltd., Shepperton, from which he retired in 1938.

He died in 1942 at the age of 58.

He was elected a Member in 1935.
