1881 Living at Fulstow, Lincolnshire: Benjamin Kittmer (age 54 born Norfolk), Farmer Of 22 Acres and Machine Maker. With his wife Betsy Kittmer (age 40 born Fulstow) and their seven children; Sarah Kittmer (age 17 born Fulstow); Benjamin Kittmer (age 16 born Fulstow); Charles Kittmer (age 12 born Fulstow); Henry Kittmer (age 11 born Fulstow); William Kittmer (age 7 born Fulstow); Harriet Kittmer (age 4 born Fulstow); and Walter Kittmer (age 3 born Fulstow). Two servants. Also Charles D. Dales, apprentice machine maker.[1]

1888 Sale of business. 'FULSTOW, near LOUTH and GRIMSBY. To be SOLD by AUCTION, By Messrs. John Taylor and Son, on Thursday Aug. 30th 1888, upon the premises of the late Mr. Benjamin Kittmer, machine maker, aforesaid, THE whole of the Stock of MACHINES, REAPERS, and STOCK-IN-TRADE, consisting of 27 dressing machines, 3 blowers, 6 weighing machines, pulpers, chaff cutter, turnip cutters, grindstones, reapers, grass mower, and several other valuable effects; also a large quantity of well-seasoned wood.'[2]
