He was later at sea with the Head Line

1894 Mr. A. W. Hamilton and a partner founded Hamilton and McMaster

1917 Mr. Hamilton acquired the company outright and changed the title to A. W. Hamilton and Co.[1]

His son, J. B. W. Hamilton, continued the business
