1936 Changed company name to Associated Insulation Products

1947 The company was a holding, finance and management company; subsidiaries included:

1955 Sold interest in British Industrial Plastics

1956 Sold the US and Canadian mica subsidiaries to Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Co[2]

1956 Acquired by Elliott Brothers for the large amount of cash held by the company and a majority stake in Micanite and Insulators Co[3]

1958 AEI acquired Associated Insulation Products from Elliott Automation, giving AEI control of one of its principal suppliers of materials. AIP held 54 percent of Micanite and Insulators, supplier of heavy insulation equipment[4]
