"ARTHUR WAKEFIELD LEE, B.Sc. Tech., was associated with the metallurgical side of mechanical engineering and spent the whole of his professional career at the iron and steel works of Messrs. John Lysaght, Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire.
On leaving Manchester Grammar School in 1919 he continued his studies at the Municipal College of Technology in that city, taking the mechanical engineering course and graduating B.Sc. Tech. four years later. He then entered the firm and after three years practical training was employed on experimental and research work. In 1928 he was appointed technical assistant to the chief engineer, with responsibility for the efficient utilization of heat and steam throughout the works. Later he redesigned the boiler plant. Mr. Lee's death occurred at Lincoln on 3rd July 1947, at the age of forty-six. He was elected a Graduate of the Institution in 1924 and was transferred to Associate Membership in 1931."
