Lieut-Col. Arthur John Barry (1859–1943) CBE, TD, M.I.C.E., civil engineer and architect

1859 Born, son of Charles Barry, Jr.

Pupil and later partner of his uncle, Sir John Wolfe-Barry .

He was the author of "Railway Expansion in China" and the "Influence of Foreign Powers in China's Development" (London, 1910).

Carried out significant infrastructure projects in India, China, Thailand and Egypt.

Chief Engineer in charge of the construction works of the Jubilee Bridge, Calcutta
