Over a period of nearly 40 years the contracting work Mr. Potter earned out and the pumping machinery plant he supplied throughout Great Britain was very extensive. Just after the War - about 1920 - Mr. Potter took over the works in Dysart-road, which had been vacant for a great many years, and resided in the Harlaxton district, although lately he lived in London where he had showrooms. He had travelled extensively.
