1883 Partnership founded by Richard Pentney Eidsforth and Francis J Mudford as Messrs Eidsforth and Mudford. Most of the company's work related to the supply and installation of electric lighting and electric bells

1909 they invented a method of finding the exact temperature required for hardening steel and this changed the nature of their business.

1938 Messrs Eisdforth and Mudford continued in business to this date.
