1953 Amphenol Corporation opened an office in Burgess Hill

1963 Amphenol Ltd was established in Great Britain as a subsidiary of Amphenol Corporation, maker of interconnecters.

Initially located in Canterbury

1982 Created the Data Bus MIL-STD-1553B range, which became the industry standard for all Military Aircraft utilising the Data Bus system and is still in use in the Eurofighter Typhoon to present day.

1987 Moved to another manufacturing site in Whitstable.
