These are the papers of William Mayberry who was an employee of the company.

William Mayberry left Alley & MacLellan in 1958 to move South to Salisbury Plain where he was employed by the MOD (1958-1974). He then worked for Millbank Technical Services (a sales division of the MOD) in IRAN as Second in Charge of Workshops 1974-76. The HM Government sold 700 Chieftain Tanks to the Shah of Iran and part of the package was to provide Technical support to train the Iranians. William Mayberry died in 1976 at the end of his two year contract. He was also the Local Devizes Circuit Magistrate in Wiltshire.
