ALEXANDER KENNEDY NIXON, born at Netley, Hants, on the 9th October, 1881, died at Singapore on the 22nd June, 1912.
A pupil of Mr. Thos. Stewart, M. Inst. C.E., of Capetown, he assisted him on various water schemes, including the Hely-Hutchinson Reservoir and the Stellenbosch Waterworks.
From 1908 until his death, with one interval, he served on the contractors’ staff of the Lagoon Docks, Singapore.
Mr. Nixon was elected an Associate Member of The Institution on the 5th February, 1907.
