Professor ROHN, President of the Board of Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, was educated at Geneva College and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.

From 1899 to 1908 he was engineer and chief engineer of the bridge building department of Gutehoffnungshurte at Sterkrade.

He was then appointed Professor-in-Ordinary for Statics at the S.F.I.T., becoming in 1919 principal of the civil engineering section.

From 1926 Dr. Rohn has been the President of the Board of the S.F.I.T. In 1915 Dr. Rohn was the delegate of the Swiss Federal Council to the International Congress of Engineering at San Francisco.

From 1929 to 1938 he was president of the International Association of Bridge and Structural Engineering.
