Organised by the Speedwell Bicycle Club

1882. An exhibition of bicycles and tricycles . . . opened at Bingley Hall yesterday . . . In the number of visitors it falls little short of the “Stanley” shows in the metropolis . . . There are about sixty exhibitors altogether . . . and the exhibits number close upon 300. In addition there are long and important arrays of ordinary horse carriages of various kinds shown by Messrs Startin and Sons . . . and other well-known coachbuilders . . . the galleries are set apart for practical tests of the special merits claimed for the machines.
